EDP Sells Wind and Solar Portfolio in Italy for €150 Million

June 30, 2026

EDP has signed an agreement to sell to PLT Energia a wind and solar portfolio in Italy for an estimated value of 150 million euros, the company announced today.

In a statement sent today to the Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários (CMVM), EDP explains that the operation will be carried out through EDP Renováveis, in which it owns a 71.4% stake, and involves the sale of 100% of a portfolio of renewable assets in southern Italy.

The portfolio has a capacity of 68 megawatts and includes five projects that are already contracted and in operation, located in the regions of Puglia, Basilicata, and Campania.

Four of these projects are wind, with a total capacity of 60 megawatts, and have an average age of 11 years. The fifth is a solar project, with about 8 megawatts, which has been in operation for less than a year.

According to the company, the assets benefit from long-term contracts: the wind projects have Contracts for Difference (CfD) with a duration of 20 years, while the solar project has a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA).

The completion of the transaction still depends on the verification of the usual conditions for this type of deal, including regulatory approvals, with completion expected to occur still within 2026.

EDP notes that the final value of the transaction may be adjusted up to the closing of the sale.
