ANGOLA: Medical assistance for HIV-positive people

A new hospital in Angola's capital, Luanda, is assisting people living with HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections.

The Minister of Health, Albertina Hamukuaia, said the hospital already had a waiting list of more than 1,000 HIV-positive people.

Hamukuaia was quoted by the Angola Press Agency as saying: "We have to make all effort, so that more people are not affected by this disease. We intend to give hope back to many HIV-positive people, for a long and quality life."
