ANGOLA: Huambo to get HIV/AIDS support
The French Red Cross has announced plans to spend over US $500,000 to support programmes tackling HIV/AIDS in Angola's central province of Huambo.
Stephanie Dilliere, a representative for the organisation, told the Angola Press Agency that the project would be implemented in the next two years, with the support of the French embassy and the Angolan Red Cross.
Dilliere said the Red Cross had been working in Huambo for 13 months, supporting projects for the rehabilitation of health centres and the improvement of sanitation conditions in several municipalities in the province.
