SIERRA LEONE: Ministers get tested to erase HIV/AIDS stigma

All government ministers and their deputies in Sierra Leone could soon be publicly tested for HIV, vice president Solomon Berewa has said.

The vice president made the announcement during a meeting with major international donors as part of the government's bid to erase the stigma attached to HIV/AIDS.

Berewa was quoted by Agence France Presse (AFP) as saying: "This is a practical way for us to show leadership."
