Open Day at Setúbal Municipality’s Official Companion Animal Shelter Promotes Responsible Pet Adoption

July 9, 2026

CROAC – Official Center for the Collection of Companion Animals of the Municipality of Setúbal will once again have an Open Day for the community on Saturday, which has as one of its objectives raising public awareness about responsible adoption, according to a press release.

According to the same source, the initiative to open CROAC’s doors to the community, which runs from 10:00 to 12:00, allows visitors to interact with the animals housed there, to get to know the space and the work of CROAC’s staff and volunteers, and to obtain information about the activities and projects underway.

In addition to strengthening CROAC’s ties with the community, the Open Day is also an opportunity to raise public awareness of responsible adoption and, eventually, to promote the adoption of some of the animals currently sheltered at the center.
