Sihle Motha, a nurse at Malvern Clinic, in Johannesburg, is among the first to have been trained in the management and initiation of patients on antiretroviral (ARV) treatment. She will soon be joined by thousands more as the government rolls out nurse-initiated ARV treatment at primary healthcare clinics across South Africa.

The International Women Health meeting is an international forum of women's grassroots organisations, academics, and advocates that promotes women's health, sexual and reproductive rights.
The main goal of the conference is to gather women from all over the world that are fighting for women' health and enable them to share their knowledge and experience.

VACANCIES
1. Content Developer for Portuguese community level HIV awareness material - SAfAIDS
Southern Africa HIV and AIDS Information Dissemination Service (SAfAIDS) is a sub-regional NGO that seeks to promote effective and ethical development responses to the epidemic and its impact through HIV/AIDS knowledge management and advocacy.
SAfAIDS is looking for a contract Content Developer to develop Portuguese language community level HIV awareness material. This is a contract assignment. Candidates must be highly goal and output-oriented, self-motivated and with good writing and analytical skills. They must be creative, flexible, able to adapt, have the capacity to work under pressure, as part of a team, and have an interest and commitment to contribute towards prevention of HIV in Southern Africa.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Social Sciences or equivalent
- Minimum of two years experience developing HIV related materials.
- Must be fluent in Portuguese
- Ability to translate materials from Portuguese into English
- Computer literacy is a requirement
- Excellent writing skills
- Good communication skills
- Capacity of graphic design will be an added advantage
Scope of work
The consultant shall be responsible for the following work:
- In collaboration with SAfAIDS, research and develop the contents for HIV information booklets and posters targeting specified audiences in Mozambique
- Provide guidance on the illustrations for the booklets and posters
- Produce a first draft of the printed material and incorporate comments from SAfAIDS
- Participate in pre-testing the printed material on the intended audiences
- Finalise the printed material based on results of the pre-tests
