Sustainability at the Management Table Debated at the 8th Green Savers Conference

October 22, 2026

Sustainability only transforms a company when it reaches management decisions: about investment, the goals of each team, and how performance is evaluated. This is the starting point of the panel debate “Transforming: Sustainability at the Management Table,” which opens the discussions at the 8th Green Savers Conference, “Leading the Sustainable Transition”, on Tuesday, October 27, at 9:45 a.m., in the Auditorium of the Orlando Ribeiro Library, in Telheiras, Lisbon.

At the table, companies that have already taken this path share concrete examples: what worked and what still makes change difficult within their doors. At a time when Brussels eases reporting obligations, the debate also discusses what keeps the course when legal pressure eases.

The panel brings together João Lavos, Sustainability Leader of LEROY MERLIN Portugal, Carlos Gouveia, CEO of Scoring, and Rui Nobre, COO of DPD Portugal. LEROY MERLIN brings the experience of those who seek to convert the ESG strategy into a practical management system, Scoring the experience of those who work with companies in ESG management and reporting, and DPD Portugal the experience of a logistics operation that has sought to reduce the environmental impact of deliveries. The moderation is by Marta Rangel.

The conference gathers managers, specialists and decision-makers to discuss how to move from intentions to results in the sustainable transition. The program opens with Filipe Duarte Santos, chair of the National Council for the Environment and Sustainable Development (CNADS), as keynote speaker, and also includes the debate panels “Cooperating: no one closes the loop alone” and “Mobilizing: the transition at the doorstep”. The closing is by Maria Albertina Rodrigues, president of the Scientific Council of APEE.

The 8th Green Savers Conference is sponsored by Central de Cervejas e Bebidas, Leroy Merlin, Prio, Scoring, Sociedade Ponto Verde and Valorpneu, with the support of EPAL, SAPO and Tabaqueira, and counts on the Lisbon City Council and the Lumiar Parish Council as institutional partners.

Participation is free, with prior registration, and seats are limited. To guarantee your seat, fill out the form below or send an email to [email protected].
