On Tuesday, October 27, Green Savers will host its eighth conference, “Leading the Sustainable Transition”, at the Auditorium of the Orlando Ribeiro Library in Telheiras, Lisbon. Between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., the event will bring together managers, experts, and decision-makers to discuss how the transition to a more sustainable economy is guided within Portuguese companies and institutions.
The theme continues the thread of the previous edition. In May, the VII Green Savers Conference debated ESG as “the superpower of companies” and left a core idea: the real challenge lies in moving from talk to practice, “from intentions to results.” That passage largely depends on who leads the organizations, and it is in this responsibility that the October debate will focus.
The transition no longer ends with sustainability reports. It reaches investment decisions, supplier selection, energy management, and the way people are attracted and retained, with customers and investors demanding evidence and with the 2030 targets getting closer. Leading, in this context, is about aligning strategy, teams, and partners around concrete objectives and being accountable for the results.
The program will cross the visions of companies, associations, and academia, with debate panels, expert interventions, and examples from organizations that are already making this path. The speakers and the detailed program will be announced in the coming weeks.
