Mobi.e Launches Platform for Direct Agreements Between EV Charging Operators

October 23, 2026

Mobi.e unveiled the Mobi.Hub, a new roaming platform for Portugal’s electric mobility market. The solution aims to ensure the continuity of interoperability between charging networks in the context of changes to the legal framework, allowing Charging Point Operators (CPOs) and Electric Mobility Service Providers (EMSPs) to directly establish their commercial agreements. The objective is to give participants greater autonomy and flexibility, while maintaining the possibility of using an integrated network, whether or not they are connected to Mobi.e, according to a press release.

According to the public company, the transition to the new model will be gradual, without disrupting the operation of partners or users’ experience. The platform maintains the interoperability principles that characterize the Portuguese network and aims to facilitate the creation of commercial partnerships, the automation of processes, and alignment with European standards. In parallel, Mobi.e launched Mobi.Charge, a solution aimed at charging station operators who do not have their own platform to manage their networks.

For António Veiga Ferrão, chairman of the Board of Mobi.e, the launch represents a new step in the company’s adaptation to sector changes. “The electric mobility sector is changing, and we want to adapt and capitalize on the new opportunities that the legal regime provides. With Mobi.Hub and Mobi.Charge we take another step and show that a public company can innovate and evolve,” he says. He adds that the change is part of a broader strategy, which includes bets on new sectors, starting with the integration of public transport.

Also Sílvia Amaral, a Mobi.e board member responsible for electric mobility, highlights the response to operators’ needs. “The solution presented today aims to respond directly to market demands. The new Hub stands out for its flexibility in defining commercial partnerships, for the automation of processes, and for alignment with European standards,” she notes.

Mobi.e states that it will continue to act as a neutral entity, ensuring equal treatment for participants seeking to adopt the solutions. The implementation of the new model should allow greater flexibility in commercial relations between operators in an evolving market, though its impact will depend on uptake by the stakeholders and how the new platforms are integrated into existing operations.
