ETHIOPIA: Gov't scales up antiretroviral roll-out
NAIROBI, 6 March (PLUSNEWS) - The Ethiopian Ministry of Health has announced that it will provide free antiretroviral therapy (ART) and treatment of opportunistic infections for 58,000 HIV-positive people until the beginning of July.

SOMALIA: Cross-border migration an HIV/AIDS threat
NAIROBI, 5 December (PLUSNEWS - DFID) - Somalia's HIV prevalence of about one percent is low, but the cross-border movement of people is causing an increase in infection rates, according to Dr Fernando Morales of the UN Children's Fund's Somalia office. Northwestern Somalia, which shares a frontier with Ethiopia, is particularly at risk.
