- Contribute to the Alliance's strategic directions in the region
- Line manage the East & Southern Africa sub-team in accordance with reporting lines
- Be responsible for the sub-team's collaboration with other Africa Team staff and Alliance staff in other teams
Qualifications:
- Highly motivated self-starter with demonstrable relevant work experience within the region or in a developing country context alongside significant experience in HIV/AIDS or sexual and reproductive health programming
- As a successful manager of programmes, you will be able to demonstrate experience of managing multi-country and multi-million US dollar budgets and
- Possess proven strategic planning and analytical skills established in a development context

2. Consultancy: Planning and Evaluation of HIV/AIDS Interventions in Southern Sudan, Oxfam Novib - Yei, South Sudan
Responsibilities:
- Identify a pool of technical experts that can be invited to tender for specific assignments to understand better the situation of HIV/AIDS prevention and related support services in Central and Western Equatoria Estates of Southern Sudan, in the context of the programme, "Fighting the cycle of vulnerability, poverty and HIV/AIDS of Women in Western and Central Equatoria Regions of South Sudan." (September-December 2010)
Qualifications:
- Proven skills in carrying fact-finding field missions and feasibilities studies in Southern Sudan
- Demonstrated capacity in planning and/or evaluating interventions in the HIV/AIDS sector
- Good analytical and writing skills
- The capacity and willingness to travel in Southern Sudan and to visit secondary towns
- Being able to form a team of a minimum of two experts combining local and international expertise, with the ability to report regularly to the Nairobi regional office
- Knowledge of security procedures and protocols relevant to the case of Southern Sudan
