The 10th edition of the “Caminho da Inovação” will take place on October 1, at the Fábrica de Água de Alcântara, in Lisbon, under the theme “The Future of Water is Not Obvious.” The initiative, organized by Águas do Tejo Atlântico, aims to place in debate the challenges and solutions that may mark the transformation of the water sector, as disclosed in a press release.
According to the same source, in a context marked by climate change, by the growing pressure on water resources and by technological transformation, the meeting will address new forms of responding to territorial challenges and of making water management systems more resilient.
Among the topics to be discussed will be “Resilience and Territory,” at a time when the increasing frequency and intensity of extreme climatic phenomena poses new challenges to infrastructures and to water management systems.
Digital transformation and artificial intelligence will also be in the spotlight, with the meeting seeking to discuss the contribution of these technologies to more efficient decision-making processes. Cybersecurity and collaboration among different stakeholders in the sector will be other topics addressed.
“How to bring knowledge, technology and real challenges closer, accelerating the transformation of ideas into solutions with impact?” is one of the questions that will be at the center of the programme.
The “Caminho da Inovação” positions itself as an exhibition and networking initiative dedicated to innovation in the water sector. Throughout the day, national and international specialists will share knowledge, experiences and examples of solutions applied to the sector.
The 10th edition will run from 9:30 a.m. on 1 October, at the Fábrica de Água de Alcântara, on Avenida de Ceuta, in Lisbon.
