Refurbed, the European marketplace for refurbished products, announces entry into a new product category: musical instruments. The offering starts with guitars and will be expanded to other instruments, as stated in a press release.
According to the same source, the launch broadens Refurbed’s presence beyond technology and other consumer categories, with entry into an area associated with the reuse of durable goods.
All musical instruments available on the platform come with a minimum one-year warranty, a 30-day return period, and free shipping. The refurbishment includes professional cleaning, technical inspection, setup, new strings when necessary, replacement of worn components, and an assessment of the aesthetic condition. According to the company, this approach offers a more secure alternative compared with buying second-hand products.
Refurbed indicates that the new category recorded the best launch performance in the brand’s history and grew twice as fast as the other categories in the same period.

By extending the lifespan of already existing instruments, the new category fits within a circular economy logic and reduces the need to produce new equipment.
