The company Águas do Alto Minho (AdAM) opened a public tender, for around 374 thousand euros, to build photovoltaic plants for self-consumption in seven of the region’s 10 municipalities, according to an announcement published today in the Diário da República (DR).
According to the publication, the photovoltaic plants will be installed in Arcos de Valdevez, Caminha, Paredes de Coura, Ponte de Lima, Valença, Viana do Castelo and Vila Nova de Cerveira, with a contract execution deadline of 270 days.
The procedure cites a value of more than 120 thousand euros for electrical installation works, 87,167 euros for the construction of solar power plants, 74,891 euros for the photovoltaic solar modules and 72,283 euros for preventive maintenance services.
Architectural, engineering and planning services are budgeted at 13,786.50 euros.
The deadline for submitting proposals ends at 23:59 on 6 October, with bidders required to keep their proposals valid for 90 days from the end of that date.
AdAM is owned 51% by Águas de Portugal (AdP) and 49% by the municipalities of Arcos de Valdevez (PSD), Caminha (PSD), Paredes de Coura (PS), Ponte de Lima (CDS-PP), Valença (PS), Viana do Castelo (PS) and Vila Nova de Cerveira (PS).
Three municipalities of the district – Ponte da Barca (PSD), Monção (PSD) and Melgaço (PSD) – refused to join the partnership.
The public-capital joint-stock company has its headquarters in Viana do Castelo and began operating in January 2020.
The company covers an area of 1,585 square kilometers and is sized to provide more than nine million cubic meters of potable water per year to around 100,000 customers, as well as to collect and treat more than six million cubic meters of wastewater per year, produced by about 70,000 customers.
