REN – Redes Energéticas Nacionais has been included in the Sustainability Yearbook 2026 by S&P Global, one of the leading international references in evaluating corporate sustainability practices, ranking as one of the best-performing companies in its sector, according to a press release.
According to the same source, included in the category Multi and Water Utilities, REN achieved a score of 78 points on the S&P Global CSA Score, placing itself among the Top 10 global companies with outstanding performance in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) parameters. REN was also recognized as Industry Mover, a distinction that highlights organizations with the greatest improvement in performance versus the previous year.
The Sustainability Yearbook 2026 by S&P Global evaluated more than 9,200 companies across 59 sectors based on the results of the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) 2025. Of these, only 848 companies were selected as Yearbook Members, a designation reserved for organizations that position themselves in the top 15% of their industry and whose CSA score is within 30% of the leading company in their respective sector.
For REN, this distinction represents recognition of the ongoing work in integrating ESG criteria into its strategy, reinforcing the company’s contribution to the energy transition and to the development of safe, efficient and sustainable infrastructures.
In 2025, REN achieved its best-ever score in the S&P Global CSA index, reaching 78 points, more than double the 38 recorded in 2016, the year it joined this ranking.
