EDP Renewables Sells Energy Production Parks in Poland and Greece

August 3, 2026

EDP Renewables has struck an agreement to sell a wind and solar park in Poland and another to divest two wind farms in Greece, announced by the EDP Group company.

The sales were announced to the market in two separate notices sent to the Comissão Do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários (CMVM), one relating to each operation.

The buyer of the Polish infrastructure is Public Power Corporation, and the buyer of the wind park in Greece is Faria Renewables.

In Poland, this concerns the sale of a 100% stake that EDP Renewables holds in “a portfolio of wind and solar assets totaling 166 MWac,” with an enterprise value that the company estimates at 250 million euros.

The amount, however, is subject to the usual final price adjustments on the closing date of the transaction, which EDP Renewables expects to occur by the end of the year.

“The completion of the transaction is subject to the verification of the suspensive conditions, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions for a transaction of this nature, with the expectation that it will occur during 2026,” the company writes in the release.

Relating to the sale of the wind park in Greece, EDP Renewables states that it concerns the disposal of “the 100% equity stake in a wind portfolio in operation and in construction of 58 MW.”

The estimated enterprise value is 120 million euros, an amount that is likewise subject to final adjustments.

“The portfolio consists of an operating wind project of 23 MW and another under construction of 35 MW,” the company says, adding that the operations benefit from a ten-year power purchase agreement.

Regarding this sale, EDP does not indicate a closing date, only noting that the closing of the transaction is subject to “the verification of the suspensive conditions, regulatory and other usual conditions for a transaction of this nature.”
