NAMIBIA: Food security boost for HIV-positive people

The humanitarian organisation, AFRICARE, has announced plans to enhance the food security of care groups providing critical assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS in Namibia's Caprivi region.

Mpezeni Ntelamo, manager of the AFRICARE Caprivi Food Security Project, told the local newspaper, New Era, that 10 home-based care groups in the region were currently benefiting from the project.

Ntelamo said children orphaned by HIV/AIDS also made up a large portion of the beneficiary communities.
