MOZAMBIQUE: US cash boost for small AIDS groups

JOHANNESBURG, 2 Aug 2004 (PLUSNEWS) - HIV/AIDS organisations in Mozambique could soon benefit from a number of small pledges by the US embassy there.

The funds are part of US President George Bush's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief in developing countries.

According to a local news agency, AIM, the maximum amount of funding available per project is US $10,000 with preference given to projects asking for less.

Eligible groups have been urged to include a detailed budget in their proposals for submission by no later than 20 August.
