1. The 'Young Women's Dialogue' - Durban, South Africa
The International Community of Women Living with HIV/AIDS, a UK-based women's NGO, is planning a national workshop in September 2006 to examine
gender-based challenges faced by young women living with HIV/AIDS in South Africa.
The first gathering took place in Durban in 2004, attracting young HIV-positive women from East and Southern Africa.
Twenty-five young HIV-positive South African women will be given space to discuss the range of issues affecting them. The workshop also aims establish a
national support mechanism for women living with the HI virus, focused on advocacy at the national level.
