The secretariat of the 14th International Conference on AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections in Africa (ICASA 2005) is calling applicants interested in the position of Professional Conference Organiser (PCO).

The International Conference on AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections in Africa (ICASA) has established itself as a the primary meeting place for people working with and affected by HIV/AIDS to come together to discuss and articulate initiatives for confronting the epidemic of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections in Africa. ICASA is owned by the Society for AIDS in Africa (SAA) and organised in collaboration with the hosting country and relevant international agencies.
The theme of the conference (ICASA 2005) is 'HIV/AIDS and the Family'. ICASA 2005 will focus on the crucial role of the family in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa, and how the challenges posed by HIV/AIDS can be faced at the level of the African family, which has been the bedrock of African societies since ancient times.
ICASA 2005 will explore traditional family values with the aim of empowering African families and involving them in a comprehensive response to the AIDS epidemic in Africa, with special attention to youth, women and children.

The PCO shall provide all the services for the planning, implementation, realisation of and follow-up to the conference.
