1. Director, Medical Services (Nigeria)

Family Health International (FHI) provides a programme of research, education and services in HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment, reproductive health and infectious diseases. FHI has the following vacancy:

Director, Medical Services (Nigeria)

The Director of Medical Services is a highly trained medical professional who can provide medical leadership in implementing a national programme of care and treatment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Medical Degree with advanced training in HIV and/or PMTCT and training in programme management
  • Oral/written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership, coaching, and team-building skills to strengthen and cultivate relationships
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills, with an ability to solve problems and make decisions

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement HIV treatment and/or PMTCT programmes and work effectively with national governmental agencies in negotiating and implementing care and treatment programmes
  • Implement training programmes for medical and support personnel in HIV care and treatment programmes
  • Implement functional multi-disciplinary programmes for HIV care and treatment
  • Establish goals, structures and processes necessary to implement a mission and strategic vision
  • Design and oversee monitoring and evaluation and information gathering
