1. HIV/AIDS Consultant - Western Kenya

Doctors of the World (DOW), USA, is seeking an HIV/AIDS Consultant to set up field operations and conduct on-the-ground assessment and programme development, to be based in Western Kenya, working in West Pokot, Kapenguria, and Eldoret.

It is expected that the Consultant will be hired by the end of August, 2004. An initial three-month contract may be followed by renewal as a staff position.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three to five years of work in international public health with experience related to HIV/AIDS
  • Experience in programme assessment, design and implementing, along with budget and fiscal oversight
  • Familiarity with USAID and other relevant donors
  • Excellent written and oral English skills and IT proficiency
  • MPH or equivalent required
