1. World Bank HIV/AIDS Initiative

The World Bank is organising a small grants competition for project proposals from Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa and Swaziland. The purpose of the initiative is to support projects by various organisations in the five countries, within the framework of the global Development Marketplace. The theme: "HIV/AIDS: Turning Ideas into Action".

2. Call for Articles - SAFAIDS News

The regional HIV/AIDS information dissemination service, SAfAIDS, is looking for contributors to their quarterly newsletter, SAFAIDS News. The newsletter has regular focus features on research, access to treatment and HIV/AIDS in the workplace. Articles may focus on the mentioned topics but are not restricted to these. An honorarium will be given for published articles.

3. HIV/AIDS Treatment in Practice

HIV/AIDS Treatment in Practice (HATIP) is a twice-monthly email newsletter aimed at health care workers in resource-limited countries currently scaling up HIV treatment and care. HIV/AIDS Treatment in Practice 20, dated 1 January 2004, features a review of Botswana's anti-HIV efforts and antiretroviral rollout programme. The first issue for 2004 also contains links to AIDSMAP news stories from the past two weeks.

4. Health Promotion Factsheets

A recently launched series of Health Promotion factsheets aims to improve access to information, as well as raise awareness and knowledge around issues that impact on the health and well-being of people living with HIV/AIDS and affected communities. Each of the 4 fact sheets also offers further resources and regional and global contacts.

The International Labour Organisation (ILO) presents a collection of legislative texts and soft law instruments dealing entirely or in part with HIV/AIDS and the world of work.
