Director, Medical Services (Nigeria)
The Director of Medical Services is a highly trained medical professional who can provide medical leadership in implementing a national programme of care and treatment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Medical Degree with advanced training in HIV and/or PMTCT and training in programme management
- Oral/written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Leadership, coaching, and team-building skills to strengthen and cultivate relationships
- Strategic and analytical thinking skills, with an ability to solve problems and make decisions
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement HIV treatment and/or PMTCT programmes and work effectively with national governmental agencies in negotiating and implementing care and treatment programmes
- Implement training programmes for medical and support personnel in HIV care and treatment programmes
- Implement functional multi-disciplinary programmes for HIV care and treatment
- Establish goals, structures and processes necessary to implement a mission and strategic vision
- Design and oversee monitoring and evaluation and information gathering
