1. African Microbicides Advocacy Group Update Meeting

The African Microbicides Advocacy Group (AMAG) invites you to a meeting at the upcoming 15th International AIDS Conference in Bangkok. The update and planning meeting themed "Moving the African Microbicides Agenda Forward", will update the progress of the network and consult with attendees on the most important priorities for our region and work in microbicides research and advocacy.

The meeting is on Wednesday 14 July 2004, from 12.15 - 13.30 at the Bangkok IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre, Room EC 5.

AMAG is a small but growing group of committed advocates from a wide range of backgrounds including activists, researchers, scientists, policy makers, service providers and programme managers. They are gearing up for concerted and collective advocacy action to push the microbicides agenda in a way that recognises their context and perspectives as advocates in Africa.


2. Kaiser Network's daily update from the 15th International AIDS Conference in Bangkok

If you are not traveling to Bangkok for the International AIDS Conference make sure you sign up for Kaiser network's special Conference Daily Update email to stay current on the latest developments from the Conference.

3. Bangkok Conference Youth and HIV Portal

The Youth and HIV portal was developed to provide policymakers, media, youth, and all activists attending or interested in the 15th International AIDS Conference in Bangkok, Thailand, with the tools to ensure that young people are at the centre of global and national debate and policymaking.

A calendar of youth-focused events is available, along with the latest press and analysis.

Other features include:

  • the ability to create statistical tables with the data tool.
  • learn more about young activists.
  • find links to key organisations and contacts.
