1. GNP+ International Coordinator
GNP+ is a global network operated by and for people living with HIV/AIDS, which aims to improve their quality of life. It achieves this through its activities in the areas of advocacy, capacity building and communication. The Network has a board of twelve members, made up of two representatives from each of the six regional partner networks. The central secretariat is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. GNP+ has a full-time position available for an International Coordinator, based at the Central Secretariat of GNP+ in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and supervise an annual work plan and control the budget for the activities
- Develop and maintain the agency's profile with organisations and governmental agencies, and supervise employees of the agency
- The International Coordinator, with the Chair of the Board or designate, is also the official representative of the agency and ensures the integrity of the agency's goals and objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Background in social work, health, business or public administration or a related field
- Experience in non-profit administrative functions, with a minimum of five years in a senior supervisory position
- Experience of community development, personnel management and resource mobilisation, with demonstrated expertise and knowledge of HIV/AIDS-related work.
- Proficiency in languages besides English is highly desirable
GNP+ offers a full-time contract, starting 1 December 2005.
