AIDS Programmes

National Strategic Framework: 2006-2010; see also 2001-2005

Overview:

The national response is coordinated by the National AIDS-Control Committee (CNLS), which is presided over by the Head of State. The National Committee comprises all the actors involved in AIDS response: ministries (Education, Defence, Health, Youth, Welfare, etc.), civil society, partners and associations of people living with HIV.

Bénin has a well-functioning surveillance system among antenatal clinics (ANC) that was established in 1990.
