1. HIV/AIDS Clinical Monitoring Expert, Lao Consulting Group Ltd - Vientiane, The People's Democratic Republic of Lao
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical advice and mentoring in ARV units at national level
- Monitor and evaluate clinical care, clinical data, universal precautions and drug management and supply
- Development, review and/or update of protocols for ARV/opportunistic infections, procedures for the diagnosis, follow up and referral of patients
- Establish and support a Clinical Task Force with CHAS staff and concerned doctors in ARV units as per national strategy
Qualifications:
- Degree in medicine
- Diploma of specialized training in HIV/AIDS
- Five years of clinical and managing experience in ARV units (hospital) in neighbouring countries
- Proved experience in training, coaching and supervision of medical staff
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Thai or Lao-spoken is compulsory
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary environment
- Willingness to travel with short stays in rural areas

2. Senior Health Coordinator, International Rescue Committee - South Sudan
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all health projects are implemented on time, on budget and in accordance with the donor regulations, and internationally recognized quality standards
- Participate in the development of strategic work plans, in particular the Country Sector Strategy for Health, with clear objectives and achievement benchmarks, long-term and short-term priorities, implementation plans, financial projections and tools for evaluation
- Coordinate with IRC departments to ensure that adequate and timely technical, logistical and administrative support are provided to health projects
- Work with the monitoring and evaluation manager to ensure that appropriate quality control systems are in place and implemented across programmes
- Ensure that IRC health programmes are linked with priorities of local government and continue to build the capacity of local government counterparts
- Build a rapport with the Ministry of Health to avoid duplication of efforts, to ensure project sustainability, to maximise efficiency and to disseminate knowledge and garner interest among government counterparts
- Ensure IRC participation in health coordination groups, taking the lead on agency coordinated initiatives as appropriate, and help foster exchanges of health information, best practices and training materials with partners, involved communities and Ministry of Health officials
- Ensure that all project plans, training curricula, health education materials, and strategies are supportive of Government of South Sudan policy and goals
Requirements:
- At least five to seven years overseas experience coordinating, implementing and managing health programmes in developing countries and/or refugee settings including supervisory experience
- Health professional (MD, RN or PA, with a MPH is preferred) with strong public health background, clinical experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, team building and representational skills
- Strong ability to support and build the capacity of national managers and teams
- Experience supervising a multi-national staff in a complex, insecure emergency setting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of projects
- Experience with the administration/requirements of United States Agency for International Development-funded programmes
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with a range of stakeholders (UN, government, NGOs, indigenous organisations, etc.)
- Ability to multitask, handle pressure well, improvise and be flexible
